CLASSICAL REALIST PORTRAITS

My goal is to create the most beautiful oil portrait paintings possible. I follow a set procedure to best ensure that each of my oil portrait paintings lives up to the highest standards. All due consideration will be given to best accommodate your schedule.

In the creation of portrait paintings, I follow an established procedure to reach the highest standards in portraiture, while taking into consideration the client’s preferences such as what kind of clothing, props, background settings the client desires, and discussing these issues. Since the creation of a portrait is collaboration, the initial meeting is an opportunity for us to get better acquainted; that meeting could also be used for the photography session. We may then discuss the photographs and arrive to an agreement on which one to use for the portrait.

After you choose a photo, I will paint a small compositional color study, to convey to you a sense of what the finished portrait will look like. After you approve the study, I will begin the full sized portrait. At that point, I will be able to estimate the date of completion.

The completed portrait will be delivered , ready to be displayed for years of pleasurable viewing.
